Pulse conversations are for helping South Africans understand the news. Keep your contribution connected to the story and useful to other readers.
Be constructive
- Discuss the reporting, the facts and your perspective in good faith.
- Disagree with ideas without attacking people.
- Correct errors with context or a source where you can.
Do not post
- Threats, harassment, hate speech, slurs, or calls for violence.
- Someone else's private or identifying information, including contact details, addresses or financial information.
- Spam, scams, impersonation, repeated off-topic messages, or promotional material.
- Deliberately false or misleading claims presented as fact.
- Anything unlawful or that puts another person at risk.
Moderation and reports
Anyone can report a comment in the app. Reports are reviewed by Pulse. We may hide comments that break these rules. A report is not an automatic removal, and disagreement alone is not a rule violation.
